Dr.
Craig Collier
Dr. Craig Collier is a Tullahoma native who attended Tullahoma
High School graduating in the class of 1982. He is married
to another Tullahoma native, Dr. Suzanne Collier, who is
a practicing gastroenterologist in Tullahoma.
Dr. Collier graduated at the top of his class from the University
of Tennessee in Knoxville with a degree in chemical engineering.
He continued his education at the University of Tennessee
in Memphis where he graduated with a medical degree being
second in a class of 150 students. On completing four years
of residency in the ophthalmology program at UT in 1994,
Dr. Collier went on to complete an additional year of fellowship
training in vitreo-retinal diseases under the direction of
Dr. David Meyer. He is currently the only full-time, fellowship
trained, vitreo-retinal surgeon in the immediate area.
Dr. Collier's practice interest include general ophthalmology
encompassing cataract and glaucoma patients and performing
both cataracts and glaucoma surgery. He has special interest
in diseases of the retina, treating diabetic eye disease
both in the office using the latest diagnostic equipment
and laser technology and in the hospital performing complicated
vitreo-retinal surgery. Dr. Collier also specializes in the
treatment of retinal detachments, macular degeneration and
other diseases of the retina.
